Akshay Eye Clinic was started by Dr. Nitin Shitut in 1999, as a single man practice, after his post-graduation and specialized training in Retina and Vitreous in a renowned institute like ”Shankara Netralaya”. Also had a training in Phaco surgeries at Lions Eye Hospital Miraj. Slowly he established his practice and extended his services from only Cataract and Retina to comprehensive ophthalmology. In the year 2020 he shifted his practice to a much bigger and well-spaced out premise in view of providing better, faster and comprehensive services to his patients. Today at Akshay Eye Clinic, almost all services are available in ophthalmology and patients look at Dr. Nitin Shitut as most trusted ophthalmologist in the area.

At Akshay Eye Clinic, we try to provide comprehensive eye care, which includes Cataract Surgeries with hi-tech and latest phaco machine and Zeiss operating microscope with all latest Intra-ocular lenses including trifocals, multifocals, and toric IOLs. The hospital is well equipped for all types of Retina, Glaucoma, Squint, Oculoplasty, and cornea surgeries. Specialist ophthalmologists are available to provide their services for above mentioned categories. The hospital has modular two operation theatres with most advanced air handling unit with HEPA filters in each theatre.
